Caroline Zhang is a writer from St. Paul, Minnesota. An American Voices Nominee and three-time Scholastic Gold Medalist, she has been recognized by the New York Times and the Center for Fiction. Her work is published or forthcoming in the Peauxdunque Review, Riggwelter Review, Crashtest, and others.

OLIVIA ROMANO

Olivia Romano is a writer who has been imagining literary paradises ever since she could form
thoughts. Born and raised in New York City, Olivia thrives on the rich history and diversity of
stories found there, which inspires her fiction and nonfiction alike. She was recently honored as a
2024 YoungArts Winner with Distinction in Creative Nonfiction. Today she is a co-editor and
contributor for her school’s literary magazine.

Crystal Huang is an avid essay writer and attempting poet from Middleton, WI. Her work has been recognized by a Scholastic Gold Medal and American Voices Award, as well as the John Locke Essay Competition, among others. Outside of writing, she participates in activities such as debate, DECA, and FBLA. She loves discovering new works and is excited to read what everyone has to share!

Angel Hu is a writer from Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She serves as the 2023-2024 Tennessee Youth Poet Laureate, and her work has been recognized by the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. Outside of writing, she loves astronomy, archival work, and folk music.

Audrey Snowbeck lives in St. Paul, Minnesota. She has attended both the Iowa Young Writers' Studio and the Kenyon Writing Program.

Nini is a writer from Shanghai, China, currently studying in Troy, NY. She loves writing fiction and personal narratives. She participated in Kenyon Young Writers Summer Workshop in 2023. She is a section editor of her school’s newspaper and the contributor of her school’s literary magazine. Besides writing, she loves playing the flute, learning French, traveling, playing field hockey and lacrosse.

Isabel is a writer from Southern California passionate about all things literary, especially evocative imagery. Her works are forthcoming in The Greyhound Journal and Chromatic Scars Review, and she currently serves as an editor for a number of literary magazines including Words With Weight, Open Expression, and The Elysian Chronicles. When not writing, she enjoys late-night thoughts and matcha.

CHENGYU LI

ART EDITOR + STAFF ARTIST

Chengyu Li is an animator and art enthusiast from Cleveland, Ohio. A 2023 Scholastic Gold Medalist, Chengyu has created multiple works in animation that have been selected by internationally acclaimed film festivals, including the National Film Festival for Talented Youth (NFFTY 2024), the Boulder International Film Festival Teen Competition (BIFF 2024), and the CineYouth Film Festival of the Chicago International Film Festival. Her work was also featured on the NYT Learning Network. Besides film and animation, Chengyu also enjoys painting, drawing, and playing the cello. Her favorite food is candy.

Sapphire Cui is a writer specializing in prose and poetry from Palo Alto, California. Her work has been recognized by the Scholastic Art and Writing awards as well as other institutions. She currently serves as co-president for her school's literary and art magazine.

Isabella Spiess (any pronouns) is a Minneapolis based undergraduate student studying Acting at the U of MN. Izzy is inspired by the origin of love (greek myth), the origin of love (hedwig and the angry inch song) and, the origin of love (queer ancestry). They love acrylic paint, cardboard, and getting library books mailed to their house. Isabella has been published in Blue Marble Review, #EnbyLife Journal and the Tower Literary Magazine. They were selected to be displayed in the Coffman Memorial Union art gallery as a part of the “Yours Truly” gallery.

Erin has a strong love for her south east asian culture and is a Public Relations Officer and Media Head for South East Asian Cultural Club in her local school. She enjoys reading psychology books and watching criminology movies.

Sophia is a senior at the Harker School in San Jose. She is a Scholastic Arts national gold and silver medalist and published or forthcoming in Blue Marble Review, Moonbow Magazine, Eucalyptus Lit, and more. She is her school’s Art Club co-president, art editor for The Expressionist, and managing editor for her school’s economics journal. Outside of art, she researches childhood development in rural China at SCCEI.

Amanda Ernar is a Central-Asian writer from Teton Valley, Idaho. Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, Ernar draws inspiration from both Idaho’s organic charm and the gravity of the Californian suburbs. When she isn't writing, she's exploring the outdoors.
